Hot Icarus is the alter-ego of self-taught filmmakers – Wij Travers and Giles Rozier. The pair’s unique backgrounds in editing, ad-creative, still photography and music composition have led to an experimental and dynamic filmmaking style that refuses to be put in a box. 

Taking pride in their hands-on approach, the duo always make time in their scripts for emotional rawness, intimacy and the human touch, leading to work that ranges from playful to powerful. Whatever the subject matter, Hot Icarus draws on diverse looks and textures from global youth culture and classic cinema, allowing memorable cinematography to coexist with artful imperfections.
